19/10/2018 - Chris Armstrong Funeral

The funeral of Clarkston Angling Club member Chris Armstrong will take place on Tuesday 23/10/18 at Holytown Crematorium. The service will begin at 2.30pm.

17/10/2018 - Chris Armstrong

Clarkston Angling Club are saddened to announce that Chris Armstrong has passed away in the early hours of this morning.

Chris was a founder and honorary club member and also held the role of Club Treasurer up until his passing. As one of the founding club members, he served and supported our club from the outset, and made an immeasurable contribution through his dedication and committment.

He will be sorely missed by all.

Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

23/05/2018 - The Armstrong Open

Due to family circumstances, The Armstrong Open, scheduled for Saturday June 16th, has now been cancelled and will not go ahead.

20/04/2018 - More Rainbows Stocked

The loch has been stocked again with more Rainbow Trout this week.

The loch has been fishing well in the last week. The rise in temperatures have resulted in more fish being caught, mostly on powerbait.

14/04/2018 - New Stocking Of Trout

With over a month of the new season gone already(and hopefully the worst of the bad weather with it), we have been continuing to keep the loch well stocked with fish.

The loch has been stocked regularly and the most recent delivery of Rainbow Trout were put into the loch mid week.

05/04/2018 - Season Tickets Deadline

Anglers who are thinking about buying a season ticket or those who have not yet renewed from last season have until Sunday 6th May to make their purchase.

After this date, only day tickets will be available to buy.

09/03/2018 - LOCH NOW OPEN FOR FISHING

After a weeks delay due to the recent cold weather, The Lilly Loch is now ready to re-open to anglers on Saturday 10th March.

Anglers can fish for Rainbow Trout using Powerbait, spinning or the fly - no livebaits until 15th March when the Brown Trout season begins. All ticket prices remain the same as last season, and season tickets are available to buy now.

Tight lines for the season ahead.

07/03/2018 - LOCH STILL UNABLE TO OPEN

Unfortunately, the cold weather is continuing the make conditions impossible to allow us to open the loch for the new fishing season.

The loch is still frozen over at this time, and large snow drifts still remain, making difficult to gain access to areas around the loch. In light of this, and with the safety of all anglers in mind, we ask that you DO NOT TRAVEL TO THE LOCH AS IT REMAINS CLOSED and continue to be patient until further notice that we are in a position to open the loch for fishing.
