03/10/2020 - FISHING UNTIL OCTOBER 31ST

We have decided to extend our season until Saturday October 31st to allow a few extra weeks fishing time for our anglers.

This will be the final day of our fishing season, so there will be no fishing after this date until we resume again next year.

03/10/2020 - Loch Update

The loch continues to fish well as we approach the tail end of our season and the autumn closes in.

There have been lots of reports from anglers who have had good catches on both the bait and fly, with several large fish being caught.

We are ensuring that the loch is well stocked for anglers until the end of the season by doing regular stockings of rainbow and blue trout.

A few pictures of recent catches by anglers can be seen below:

20/06/2020 - Plenty of Fish Being Caught

After a long pause to the season due to the lockdown, we are pleased to report that the loch has been fishing well since we have been able to resume normal service.

Anglers have been reporting good catches on the bait, spinner and fly fishing, with the mild spell of weather contributing to some good evening rises with lots of fly hatches on the water.

Trout of up to 8lbs have been caught recently, with several Blue Trout weighing up to 5lbs also being caught by anglers using all methods previously mentioned.

Please remember we are now open again as normal, and there are no requirements to pre-book prior to attending our loch to fish.

07/03/2020 - New Season Starts TODAY

The 2020 fishing season is now underway and the Lilly Loch is OPEN to anglers for Rainbow Trout fishing.

Anglers are reminded that only powerbait, spinning and fly fishing are permitted methods until March 15th when the Brown Trout season begins. Only AFTER this date can livebaits such as worms and maggots be used.

New season tickets and season ticket renewals from last year are available to buy. Visit our 'Tickets' page for more information.
